Delegates (voting) at Combined Meetings/Convention
Each Junior club is entitled to one vote for every 10 members in the club. Voting occurs for Junior Membership officers, and two members of the Nominating Committee at the Combined Annual Convention in the even calendar year. Voting occurs for GFWC MA officers at the combined Annual Convention. Voting may also occur at meetings/convention for Resolutions and Bylaws. When completing registration forms, presidents designate which attending members are to be the voting delegates for their club. NOTE: No delegate or credential card is required when submitting registrations.
Pins
President Pins: GFWC has a club President pin for sale @ $10.00 per pin. They are available at the GFWC Marketplace www.GFWC.org. Clubs generally arrange to purchase a pin in advance so that the official pin can be presented to the incoming president at the time of installation.
GFWC Massachusetts: Other federation items such as the GFWC Massachusetts State President’s theme pin may also be available. For information contact the President’s Assistants.
Membership pins: with the GFWC emblem are available for $5.00 by using the GFWC Marketplace at https://www.gfwc.org/membership/marketplace/.
Raffles at Meetings/Convention
Raffle tickets will be sold at meetings/conventions for the chance to win items provided by Junior Clubs and/or Women's Clubs. Starting in 2020, as we combine meetings, money from these raffles will be split between the organizations. Junior Membership will use the money to defray costs of travel required of the Director of Junior Clubs as she represents Massachusetts Juniors at State, Region meetings and GFWC International Convention. Every club is asked to donate something (details will be in the Call) at each meeting/convention in order to help support the Director’s Travel Fund. Items should be labeled with club name. Awards may be given to clubs at conferences for use of creativity and originality in the donation.
Director’s Fundraising
Every administration promotes fundraising activities on behalf of the Director of Junior Clubs. Monies raised are deposited in the General Fund of the Junior Board Treasury to be used as deemed appropriate or necessary by the Junior Executive Board. Presidents are asked to make club members aware of featured fundraisers and encourage sales. Items are generally sold at all meetings/conventions and through the Director or her Assistants while supplies last.
Donations
Use the Junior Membership Donation Form to properly send club donations to designated GFWC Massachusetts and GFWC Massachusetts Junior designated charities and scholarships.
Please send only ONE check for the total of all donations entered on the Donation Form.
DO NOT SEND SEPARATE CHECKS FOR EACH DONATION!
The Donation Form provides a convenience for both the State Treasurer and the Club Treasurer. A club is not expected to make donations for all entries on the form. It simply identifies suggested monies which can be submitted to the State Treasurer. In order for a club to receive credit, donations must be postmarked by December 31. Send Junior Membership Donation Form to Treasurer of Junior Membership.
