Director’s Chapter Challenge Award

The Director’s Chapter Challenge Award, was designed by Lynne to help make clubs aware of changes to the program focus areas from GFWC International.  Our Junior Director has told me that she especially wants to encourage clubs to focus their efforts on some of the very worthy projects GFWC International has outlined in the GFWC Club Manual that each club president has received.  I see it as my role to help clubs apply for (and win!) the Director’s Chapter Challenge Award.  It is very simple!  Your club probably already participates in many of the focus areas Lynne has outlined, and it will be fun to “challenge” your club to try some new things too.  On the next page you will find a simple application where you can “apply” the projects your club has done to the focus areas in the acronym CHAPTER.  Your club can write the next chapter…it’s as simple as filling out the application on the next page…and be sure to report all these things in your GFWC department reports too!

Keep your eye out for CHAPTER CHALLENGE Bingo at conferences…a fun way to check up on your progress AND get new project ideas!  I wish your club the very best year of community service!  If you have any questions, please contact me at the addresses above.
